As you can see, I spent this shoot with an adorable, young, and “just-ridiculously-in-love” couple. Our adventure began with a bench at Greenlake, not just any bench, but a specific bench, and we went from there.
They had mentioned wanting to take some photos at Dick’s Drive-in, which was staple hang out for him (and pretty much any UW student) while he was in school, and I thought it would be a great place to end the session, so we continued to traipse around Greenlake. It was only about 20 minutes in, and I heard her say to him: “well we have to get you something to eat then.” Overhearing this, I asked if he could maintain a few more minutes while I quickly finished up at the park, and made the next stop Dick’s (I was surprised that he was hungry only 20 minutes into the session, but a milkshake did sound rather fabulous).
It turns out, he wasn’t just the usual starving twenty something man, but that his insulin levels were off and his soon-to-be-bride was just worried and looking out for her love……*sigh*. A couple of burgers, milkshakes–all the healthy stuff–
and some of my favorite photos later, we headed to Kerry Park to end the session. Everyone (I mean a line of wedding couples by everyone) was at Kerry Park so we hung out a bit, took in the view, and squeezed in where we could. The adventure ended well and I am very happy with the photos. You will see this sweet couple again this fall when I photograph their wedding. For now, enjoy our engagement journey!
