I don’t usually get too nervous before a photo shoot anymore. Behind my camera has become my home away from home. I have to admit, though, that for this shoot the nerves had really kicked in. I am used to working with giddy couples on their wedding day, or new parents, or very honest and rarely-camera-shy kids, so when the time came to shoot a teenager’s senior portraits, a little knot began to grow in my stomach. I remember what I was like as a teenage girl…..extremely self-critical and I absolutely hated having my photo taken (ok, not much has changed in that department), so suffice to say, I was a bit anxious to meet this teenage girl. All those nerves were for nothing! She was sweet, fun, playful, and such a dream to work with. I know I am not the typical studio/senior photographer, but I am happy with the outcome. I wish you the best in your last year of high school!
