Lions, and Tigers, and Bears…..Ok, Maybe Just a Peacock

Ali and I found ourselves at Woodlland Park Zoo for this fun-loving couple’s wedding. The weather had been very “iffy” all week and throughout the morning.  There is always a plan B for rain, but we want to do everything we can to use plan A.  I just kept repeating “please stop raining, please stop raining” on rerun in my head, and low and behold, the clouds ever-so-slightly parted and the rains stopped.  We arrived at the zoo in the late afternoon so most of the animals were already inside for feeding (hence no photos with animlas).  We did, however, encounter an inquisitive peacock who did a little bit of posing for us.  This worked out well since the colors for the wedding were based on peacock coloring, not to mention each bouquet contained a peacock feather…the sight of this may have resulted in the peacock running from us, but since I am not an expert on peacocks we may never know:). It was a large turnout with guests coming all the way from Japan for the nuptials.  Everyone laughed, cried, celebrated, and stayed dry!  Ali and I can’t thank the couple and the bridal party enough for being such troopers through the cold weather and wet, squishy grass…..thank you!!  Best wishes to this wonderful pair.  Enjoy!
