Seriously?

On this gorgeous day just outside of Leavenworth, WA, Ali and I were able to witness an amazing love  by an even more amazing couple.  I found myself repeating the same word over and over, throughout the course of the day….. “seriously?”  I have witnessed so many beautiful couples and numerous days filled with endearing love, but there was just something about this wedding that kept me engaged, fascinated, and constantly wondering if I was really still back at the hotel fast asleep.  Aside from their relaxed and very inviting demeanors, the love shared by this couple was truly awe-inspiring.  I am usually able to stay on task and keep focused throughout the day because I have a constant stream of thought ( this composition?, where’s my light?, too much fill?, not enough? close down the aperture? increase the shutter speed? switch lenses? what did they just say?) you get the picture, but not on this day.  Don’t get me wrong, I was still able to do my job, but I couldn’t help but find myself getting lost in their vows or actually crying at the groom’s toast to the bride (it was the best toast I have had the pleasure to witness).  So with tears streaming down my face for the second time of the day, that dang word popped up for the ump-teenth time… “seriously?”  Everyone dreams of that amazing celebration of their love and this couple got to live it.  No hitches. No stress.  Just an enormous amount of love and one serious party.  So yes, seriously, this was an absolutely incredible wedding and experience for Ali and I.  Thank you!
