Post Alley Proposal

I had the pleasure of not only photographing this couple’s urban style engagement session, but also getting the chance to reconnect with an old college roommate and friend.  We met up in the ever-popular Pike Place area, but for this couple, the location was picked less for its popularity and more because their actual engagement occurred over a picnic table in Post Alley (and the urban vibe really fits their style).  As per the usual with spring weather in Seattle, we were challenged by all sorts of conditions. Our session began with the sun peeking out from behind the clouds (yay!), followed by some serious wind and gusts (boo!),  and ended with cold sprinklings of rain (just in time to call it a day).  I have to give some serious props to this pretty lady for sporting her adorable strapless number in some of the craziest wind I have been out in.  I kept asking if we should take a break, but she was a champion.  We did eventually take a break for outfit changes and some hand defrosting where I suggested heading to the library to escape the chaotic wind.  We made it with 15 minutes until they closed….let the turbo session begin.  Thank goodness for architecture geniuses! The library not only provided shelter from the elements, but also some great backdrops that made sense for this couple, being that she is a teacher.  See you in July. Enjoy!
