Just Glassy

Ok, so please forgive the terrible pun, but this was a wedding with class written all over it, being held at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma.  I just couldn’t resist. The magnificent Ali Harvey and I arrived to set up the couple’s first look.  The dapper groom eagerly awaited while I escorted his STUNNING bride to the location.  (I have to admit she was wearing one of my favorite dresses to date)  They were adorably nervous and anxious…..a little bit about the wedding but mostly about having their photos taken.:) It didn’t take too long for them to warm up to the camera though, and with a little help from their bridal party, we had them posing like rock stars.

The day progressed into the exchanging of vows overlooking the water, a cocktail hour surrounded by a fountain filled with glass, and then settled into the reception being held in the main lobby of the museum.  It was filled with flowers and centerpieces created by a friend of the bride (what a great friend!), the ever-popular candy bar, bright colors of the cupcake tiers from Trophy Cupcake, and last but not least, the amazing mash-ups of retro and modern day music from the vinyl-spinning Austin Beaver (www.austinbeaver.com).

Ali and I both agree that if you are in the market for a DJ, you should look no further than Austin Beaver. His ability to feel the heart beat of the reception, to know just when to amp the party up or slow it down for all of the important moments, is uncanny.  Austin is also a professional in the true sense of the word. This wedding reception lacked a coordinator and without question, Austin stepped up and made sure that all of the scheduled events took place when they needed to—above and beyond.  We look forward to working with him again in the future.

What a day! Ali and I are so grateful to have been a part of it.  Enjoy this peek at your photos!
